STILLNESS TESTIMONIES
STILLNESS UNDERGIRDS ME LIKE THE ROCK CHRIST JESUS

Rev. Dr. Lalita R. Smith

The God Campaigns "Be Still" foundational campaign will be celebrating its 5th year Anniversary in a few days. I am amazed at how strongly it continues moving forward.
Just a short time ago, the Lord birthed the vision in my heart, and we began our weekly telephone conference calls. It was our heavenly Father's invitation to God's people to learn and practice "stillness" in a corporate telephone gathering.
Men and women alike have benefitted substantially from this vision, but I felt it was time to share with you why I believe developing "stillness" has to become an End-Time discipline and priority for millions more in the Body of Christ.
Jesus promised that He would build His church in perilous times, but the gates of hell would not prevail against it. With rumors of war in the airwaves, division and racial discord in our streets, the growing threat of terrorism from within and without, and the countless other ails affecting our society and culture, I believe in Jesus' admonition to "watch and pray." He alluded to the need for "being still" so that our spiritual gifts of seeing, hearing, smelling, and knowing could be more highly developed. As these aspects of our inner, spiritual man are nurtured we gain the ability to know how to pray more accurately.
In contrast to this Biblical admonition, social media outlets, video games, i-phones, i-pads etc., are tools which help enhance our quality of life in many ways. However, their real and dangerous threat serves to distract us from developing ourselves on a deeper spiritual level. If we do not begin now to lay these things down and place more emphasis on our spiritual and prophetic development, we will become easy targets for the enemy. He is the thief who comes to steal, kill, and to destroy our peace of mind, unity in relationships, and many other things we value.
I feel blessed knowing that the thousands of hours I have spent in stillness have equipped me to have "eyes to see" in the spirit realm. They have intensified with greater depth and clarity, "ears to hear the voice of God." Even if I am standing in the midst of a lot of noise or before someone who is not speaking the truth to me, I can discern truth. The voice of the Holy Spirit in me speaks louder than disruptions, noises, the threats of wicked men, or liars.
My ability to interpret the prophetic dreams and other encounters I experience in the spirit realm have equipped me to teach many others to understand the messages the Lord seeks to convey to them through these various prophetic channels. All these methods, the Lord is, and will continue to use to enable His people to have an advantage over their enemies. He wants you and I to be able to be protected from the seen and unseen dangers lurking in our society. I have peace knowing that whether at home, in another state, or abroad, I am safe and protected because the Lord will use these gifts to warn me of danger and alert me to the unexpected or surprise events which could occur.
The times in stillness undergird me like the rock Christ Jesus upon which I stand. As I have invested in this discipline for about two decades now, I am enjoying it all the more. The rich fruit of that investment of my time has grown dividends I consider immeasurable.
If you've heard that tug on your heart to learn how to, "Be still and know that I am God," the God Campaigns ministry team works together to teach and impart the principles you need. Our calls provide a safe practice arena to take you from a place of anxiety and fear, dread and disturbance to one of peace and undisturbed composure. Now is the time to take the step to becoming "spiritually attuned" to the Savior's still small voice. He wants you specially equipped to maneuver through the perilous days that are escalating upon the face of the earth.
I can't emphasize enough how these stillness disciplines have changed me and afforded me such peace, trust and growing faith in the Lord's faithfulness to me irrespective of what is going on in the world. I want you also to be able to "Be still and KNOW that GOD is GOD!"
When you do, your life will change drastically for the better. Fears about the future will definitely subside. Join us for our next weekly call and let me know you read this testimony. Thanks and God bless you in your journey.

Stillness Led to the Discovery of My Kingdom Business:
Blue Eyes Essential Oils
by Minister Karen Steed, Visionary Founder
After many years of not learning to, or wanting to be still before the Lord, I endured many disappointments and trials in my life. Now, however, for over a year, after moving to Charlotte, NC, I have learned the importance of being still. During my times in stillness, the Lord has brought forth many revelations to me, some in song, some in Bible study and some in prophecy.
One of them was the acknowledging of vision and creative gifts within my DNA. Many of these gifts I did not know were inside me, just waiting to be developed in my life. The primary one was the establishing of an End-Time business, “Blue Eyes Essential Oils.”
While working to develop this business vision daily, I have been growing in learning and applying Bible stewardship principles. I am striving for excellence in the presentation of my product and brand. I believe as Kingdom Entrepreneurs, we should always give God our best, and in doing this, I am able to give my Customers the best.
The journey has been exhilarating and overwhelming at times, but through my continued discipline of daily stillness before the Lord, I have also learned to and move and take the right action in the divine timing of God.
Because of these things and many more areas of spiritual growth and development that I can look back and see now, I am forever grateful in learning to “be still” and wait upon the instructions of the Holy Spirit. The discipline of "stillness" has had a tremendous impact upon me in a short amount of time. I would encourage everyone to develop this awesome habit.

Stillness: Another Aspect
by: Dr. Anna Maria Gardner
Another aspect of “BEING STILL” is being inactive. In other words, don’t “DO” anything.
A few years ago, I was considering quitting my job and starting one of my businesses. After submitting my resignation, I sensed a strong check in my spirit. I began inquiring of the Lord if I had made a mistake and moved prematurely. This was during the time when good jobs were at a premium and efforts were being made toward economic recovery. I got nervous thinking that I had missed God and heard, “BE STILL!” The assistant to our senior partner passed by my desk, looked at me and said, “Are you having second thoughts?” I said well yeah, maybe… The next thing I knew my Supervisor approached my desk and made me an offer to stay. They reduced my hours from 40 to 20, with Friday’s off to work my business. I was amazed at what God had done and how He had worked this situation out for my good as a result of following His direction to, “Be still.”
I was recently involved with a dynamic miracle/healing ministry and sensed that it was time for me to leave. Upon my return to this ministry a couple years ago, the Lord revealed that this was a temporary assignment and not to get comfortable. I knew that it was going to be difficult to leave and somewhat dreaded the time when I would make that known to leadership. I covered my departure in prayer and asked God for a specific outcome when that time would arrive.
When the time came, God set up the circumstances. The evening before I was scheduled to attend prayer the next day, I had picked a bag of lemons to give to my friends. I had every intention of attending prayer that afternoon. While in my personal prayer time that morning, I heard “BE STILL” and sent a text to my mentor stating what the Lord had spoken to me and I would not be attending prayer. Following the prayer meeting, she called me on the phone and I reiterated that God had told me to “Be still” that morning. She had not received the text until after the meeting. The Word God had given her to share with the intercessors was “GOD IS SHIFTING AND TO “BE STILL!” I proceeded to tell her what I had received from the Lord when I first returned to the ministry. She asked me if I would be coming back and I said, "No." God confirmed Himself to me and her out of the mouth of two or three witness. What a profound and supernatural experience!
My daughter was admitted to the hospital recently for low hemoglobin, and was given three blood transfusions. My intention was to get to the hospital early to talk to the doctor and visit with her and I heard “Be Still!” After my prayer time, I practiced our “stillness” exercise, was quiet and waited before the Lord. He started speaking to me and I felt as though I had been released.
After showering and preparing to go, I sensed a tug in my spirit and began asking Him for a clear word. I drove to the gas station still pondering what He was leading me to do. After pumping my gas, I heard “Be Still” a second time. I turned my car around and headed home when I heard “deception!” Questions regarding the source of the deception began to arise in my spirit and I turned my car around in the direction of the hospital. Before going to the hospital, I stopped and purchased a bagel and ate it in my car. Turning on the radio, I began searching for a station broadcasting a live church service. The minister opened the service with the “Be still and know that I am God.” Again, God was confirming His word to me out of the mouth of two or three witnesses. I finished my bagel and headed home, did some cleaning and then studied scripture on “stillness.”
My desire was to get to the hospital to see about my daughter so I asked my husband if he wanted to go. Later that afternoon we proceeded to go the hospital, enjoyed fellowship with my daughter and family members. Unfortunately, the doctor never showed up while we were there. An hour or so after we left the hospital, the nurse called and informed me that the doctor had discharged my daughter. This was the third time I had gone in the direction of the hospital. Had I “been still” and waited on God, it would have required one trip to the hospital instead of three.
Although this last experience was a hard lesson in waiting, trusting and obeying, it was a part of God’s process in perfecting me in sensitivity and obedience to His leading. As we learn to wait upon the Lord, it brings us into greater freedom. I also learned how important it is to apply the principle of stillness in all aspects of my life, to include work, ministry and family situations.

What Stillness Means To Me
by Patti Herrington
I have always been a very busy individual and it has always been very challenging for me to sit still. Taking time now during my morning prayer and meditation time, to purposefully be still before the Lord has greatly increased my hearing ability. More than anything, it has helped me to get rid of the chatter and receive much more from the Lord because I am deliberately disciplining my mind to completely focus on God only and not allowing all the chatter and interference to be a distraction. Being a type A personality, with a multi-tasking gift, it has been in past times somewhat of a challenge for me to completely be still and focus. But now since practicing the "Be Still" call, it has been an awesome experience to be quiet and hear God talk to me. The longer I am being still, the greater the communication flow. - Patti Ann Herrington, Founder, Firefly Ministries.

In stillness, I am being overcome by a very strong anointing in my room. Although I suffer from mental illness, I am experiencing mental and emotional healing through this time of waiting still before the Lord.
In stillness, I am recognizing that it is by grace and only grace, (which means God's undeserved, unearned, and unmerited favor) and blessing, that we must ask to be restored in this nation and the world. It is NOTHING we can do , not even our many prayers. I am beginning to understand that there is nothing I can do personally either to earn the favor of God, not even my prayers and petitions, nor my many, or fancy words.
Paul writes in Romans, "Where sin did abound, grace did much, much more abound." Paul goes on to say, "Shall we sin that grace may abound?" -- "No, God forbid!" I think he is stating a general principle, teaching the people that when there is much sin and rebellion manifesting against God, God's grace can much, much, more abound.
Paul goes on to write repeatedly through his Epistles that God's blessings always come by grace through faith. For example, Paul writes that the most important blessing God gives, (salvation), is by grace through faith -- "By grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not by works lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8)
So my prayer is this: "I believe you Father. I have faith in you, totally." Amen and thank you for this incredible call to "stillness." It is changing me and my life.
